Will Darshan Be Out Of Jail For Diwali? Karnataka HC To Decide On Oct 28

The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of actor Darshan's bail application in Renuka Swamy murder case till October 28.

The bail application hearing was held today in a single-judge bench headed by Justice Vishwajit Shetty.

BV Nagesh, appearing for the Kannada actor, appealed that Darshan is suffering from severe back pain and he has to undergo surgery. Hence, he requested that the bail be granted, according to ANI.

He informed the court that Darshan is already being treated and requested that the bail be given as soon as possible as he needed a surgical operation at the earliest. At this time, the judge directed to submit the medical reports immediately and adjourned the next hearing to October 28.

The fans of the actor have been praying for his release and hoping that he will be out of jail for Diwali festival which will be celebrated from October 31 to November 2.

Darshan was arrested on June 9 from the sets of his upcoming movie 'Devil: The Hero' in the murder case. As per the chargesheet, Renuka Swamy had sent obscene messages and pictures to the actor's friend Pavithra Gowda.

To teach him a lesson, Renuka Swamy was kidnapped from Chitradurga, locked inside a shed in Kamakshi Palya and brutally assaulted by the actor's aides, leading to his death. His body was dumped in a drainage.

A total of 17 people were arrested by the Bengaluru cops.

Meanwhile, Sahana, the wife of Renuka Swamy, murdered by the aides of Kannada actor Darshan, has given birth to a baby boy on October 16. She has given birth at a private hospital in Chitradurga on the early hours of Wednesday. As per the reports in the media, she is delivered the baby before the due date and the newborn has been kept under observation.

However, Sahana, who was five months pregnant at the time of her husband's murder, had earlier demanded justice for her over the incident. "We married a year ago and I am expecting a baby. My husband's death in such a situation has left me shattered. How can I lead my life now?" she asked daily.
