Why Did Katrina Kaif Visit Koragajja Temple In Mangaluru?

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif's attempt to keep her visit to Mangaluru under wraps has hit the spotlight, with photos of her quick trip hitting social media platforms.

The actress, accompanied by cricketer KL Rahul and members of Suniel Shetty's family, made visited at Koragajja's Katte in Kuthar on Sunday. This visit, initially intended to be discreet, drew attention and curiosity from locals and fans alike.

Why Did Katrina Kaif Visit Koragajja Temple In Mangaluru

Katrina's presence at the temple left many speculating about the purpose of her visit. It is said that she was in the coastal town to offer 'Harake Kola'. The most worshipped Daiva (Spirit) by the Tulu people and is prayed to for help in solving any problem, to get back something lost, or to get any work done on time.

As per the reports in the local media, Katrina along with Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty, daughter Athiya Shetty, Matrix Entertainment's Reshma Shetty, and others, had booked it two months ago, but her husband Vicky Kaushal was not with her.

Due to the temple's customs restricting women from entering the 'katte' at night, Katrina, Reshma, and Athiya observed the ritual from the temple office. However, KL Rahul and Ahan Shetty took part in the ceremonial activities.

Her visit comes at a time when there are a lot of rumours around her pregnancy. However, her husband has denied the reports. Responding to a media question on Monday, he said, "It's a very special day. We have planned to spend some quality time together because I have been busy with film promotions for a long time, and she's also been travelling."

He added, "We'll be very happy to share whenever it happens, but until then, there's no truth to that, and it's only speculation."

Koragajja, revered as a powerful guardian deity in the coastal regions of Karnataka, holds significant cultural and religious importance. Known for protecting villages from malevolent forces, Koragajja's depiction as a warrior symbolizes his role in safeguarding communities.

The deity's worship is deeply ingrained in local traditions, accompanied by folk rituals, music, and dances unique to the region. Festivals dedicated to Koragajja are celebrated with fervor, reflecting the community's faith in his ability to bring prosperity and well-being.
