After over six years, singer Chinmayi is in the spotlight over her song. Her version of Muththa Mazhai song in upcoming Tamil movie Thug Life is winning the hearts of the listeners.

In fact, filmmaker Venkat Prabhu has heaped praises on the singer. In a post on X, he said, "Hey @Chinmayi ur version of #Muthamazhai from #ThuglifeAudioLaunch was just out of the world!!! Completely Addicted❤️❤️ also loved ur Hindi and Telugu versions!!! Pah no words!!"

Singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi has been banned by the Dubbing Union since 2018 after she made #MeToo allegations against lyricist Vairamuthu and Radha Ravi.

Even after obtaining an interim stay from the court on her expulsion, Chinmayi has been reportedly facing a "shadow ban," where she would be dropped from projects at the last minute despite being technically eligible to work.
