Who Is Zaheer Iqbal? Know All About Sonakshi Sinha's Soon-To-Be-Husband

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, is all set to marry her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal later this month.

With such exciting news, incredible curiosity is also building among fans. So, who exactly is Zaheer Iqbal?

Zaheer Iqbal Ratansi was born on December 10, 1988. He completed his schooling from Bombay Scottish School, where actor Ranbir Kapoor was his senior. Unlike his soon-to-be-wife, he does not belong to a family of actors, but to a jeweller family, with close ties to Salman Khan.

His father, Iqbal Ratansi, is a jeweller and businessman, while Zaheer's mother is a housewife. He has two siblings, a sister who is a famous celebrity stylist and a brother who happens to be a computer engineer.

Zaheer was launched in Bollywood by Salman Khan, making his debut in 2019 with the romantic drama 'Notebook'. He later shared screen with his partner Sonakshi in the 2022 film 'Double XL' directed by Satram Ramani, featuring Huma Qureshi and Mahat Raghavendra in lead roles.

Additionally, the pair starred in a music video titled 'Blockbuster.'

Talking about Zaheer's past relationships, he has dated two actresses, one of which was Deeksha Seth. However, their bond didn't pass the test of time and they eventually parted ways. Later, he reportedly dated Sana Saeed of 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' fame. Pictures of both of them also went viral on social media, but they too decided to end their relationship.

Zaheer and Sonakshi met through Salman Khan, and soon, their friendship blossomed into love, although neither of them wanted to publicly declare their relationship.

They were, however, spotted together at various events and social gatherings. Similar to the initial non-confirmation on their relationship, the couple are yet to react to their wedding rumours, too.

As per Hindustan Times, Sonakshi's friend told Zoom about her rumoured wedding, "I have received an invitation to celebrate with the couple on the evening of June 23. But there's no mention of an actual wedding. From what I know, they have already gone through a registered marriage, or may do so on the morning of June 23. But there's not going to be any elaborative wedding as such, just a party."

According to an exclusive report, Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding invite is designed like a magazine cover and the text says that 'The rumours are true'.

Guests have been requested to come in formals with the wedding celebrations taking place at Bastian in Mumbai in a quiet affair.

Apart from their close friends and family members, the entire cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi' has been invited to the wedding, according to sources.
