With his signature wit, Kamal retorted, "I said I'm from Ramar Father's clan, still I have 49K balance,", leaving the audience in splits.

Kamal Haasan was first married to dancer Vani Ganapathy. Their marriage ended in 1988. He then tied the knot with Sarika with whom he has two children - Shruthi Haasan and Akshara Haasan.

However, Kamal and Sarika ended their marriage in 2004. Thereafter, he was in a relationship with Gauthami.

Thug Life
The first single from the 'Thug Life' was launched on Friday. The movie reunites Kamal with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam with whom he has delivered classic Nayagan, which was released in 1987. "Nothing has changed between Mani Ratnam and I since the time we used to sit on parked motorcycles and talk about cinema," News18 quotes Kamal as saying.

He added, "We have done only 25 per cent of what we discussed. One is Nayagan, and another is Thug Life. We have a long way to go."

On the delay over joining hands again, Kamal said that they have been searching for good scripts. "We would keep discussing films, and we would share ideas. Later, we will end up doing them individually, until now," he explained.

Thug Life is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. Apart Haasan, the movie has Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf and Vaiyapuri.

On a lighter note, Kamal joked about his co-stars Trisha and Abirami. "They never said 'I love you' to me," he said. "But there was one person who said it every day. He never said 'hi' or 'hello'. It was always: 'I love you sir.' And that's Joju George. So, he was my only consolation."
