With Vijay preparing to shift his focus to a political career, 'Thalapathy 69' holds emotional significance for his fans, marking a possible farewell to his illustrious acting career.

Vijay has collaborated with director H Vinoth and Karnataka-based production house KVN Productions. The details about the cast and crew will be announced later in the evening today.
What is Vijay's remuneration for 'Thalapathy 69'?
As per a report in DT Next, Vijay is being paid a whopping Rs 250 crore for the movie. If true, the 'Mersal' star will become the highest-paid actor in the Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Vijay's latest movie 'The Greatest of All Time' has become a successful venture at the Tamil Nadu box office. It is reported that the movie has earned Rs 178 crore at the domestic box office. On Friday, the film has earned over Rs 6.5 crore.
On Friday, 'GOAT' recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 33.07%. On its ninth day, the film's Tamil 2D screenings saw varied levels of theatre attendance throughout the day.
Morning shows had a relatively low occupancy at 17.24%, while the numbers increased steadily, with afternoon shows reaching 24.22%. By the evening, occupancy surged to 40.93%, peaking during night shows at 49.89%, reflecting strong audience interest as the day progressed.
However, the business of the Hindi and Telugu versions is not up to the mark.
The Hindi version has collected Rs 11.3 crore while the Telugu version has earned Rs 10.3 crore.
However, the actor has launched his political outfit Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and preparing to hold its first state conference. It was supposed to be held on September 23, but it has been pushed to October.
