Vijay Sethupathi Snaps At Questions About Thalapathy Vijay's GOAT, Suriya's Kanguva

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has refused to talk about the poor performance of recent Tamil movies such as Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time and Suriya's Kanguva.

Vijay Sethupathi is actively promoting his upcoming film 'Viduthalai Part 2', directed by Vetrimaaran. During an interview, he was asked about the box-office failure of GOAT and Kanguva.

"When I come for the promotion of my film, why should I talk about all this? Why should we talk about this?" he shot back at an interviewer who tried to speak about the two movies.

The clip of the conversation has gone viral.

The actor also addressed past trolling and discussed investments in the film industry. He highlighted that everyone invests in films with hopes of success, regardless of the outcome. "Be it a hit or a flop, people invest in films, hoping they will succeed. Even now, before we release a film, we show it to people. Every film, even my flop films, is shown to audiences before release to gauge general opinion," he stated.

'Viduthalai Part 2' is eagerly awaited as a sequel to the successful 2023 release 'Viduthalai Part 1'. The first part is set against a tragic train derailment in 1987 and focuses on a suspected extremist political leader.

The sequel features an ensemble cast including Soori in a lead role alongside Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Anurag Kashyap, and Bose Venkat.

Producer Dhananjayan Govind responded to the incident with a below tweet: "Caution: To those who are indulging in tweet replies with #Kanguva based comments, even after a month of film's release - JUST MOVE ON in life. The team has not done a crime bringing out this film. It's just an effort that didn't work for you. So many films didn't work & they didn't make to fail. Just move on & stop tagging people with the film.

Watch what our #MakkalSelvan said on the question of #Kanguva by a 'senior' journalist.

If you're going to indulge in asking about #Kanguva or commenting on the film to my tweets on various other matters, henceforth will block each one who is doing that.

Be a man and behave yourself. Don't be a schadenfreude (having pleasure in other's pain). This will be my last tweet on this. If you wish to follow me, just be a good human being first. I don't want sadists to be replying to my tweets. Hope this is clear . One last time ✍️."
