Vidaamuyarchi OTT & TV Release Dates: When Will Sun TV Telecast & Netflix Stream Ajith's Film?

The business of Ajith Kumar's thriller Vidaamuyarchi has slowed down at the box office. Despite initial excitement, the film has managed to collect approximately Rs 75 crore (nett) in India within its first eight days, with a gross collection surpassing Rs 90 crore worldwide.

Has Ajith's Film Performed Really Well At Box Office?

However, the film's performance has been deemed underwhelming compared to Ajith's previous hits.

Trade analyst Rajasekar highlighted the film's lackluster performance, noting, "#Vidaamuyarchi underperforms. AK's weakest performance at the BO since Aasal/Billa 2 in terms of return on investment! Given the current trend, the film is likely to conclude below Rs 90 crore in Tamil Nadu and a maximum of Rs 150 crore globally."

He further pointed out that audiences primarily seek high-energy mass entertainment from leading stars. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Ajith's previous films Valimai and Thunivu recovered their investments with ease, with Thunivu emerging as the actor's career-highest grosser. With Vidaamuyarchi showing signs of slowdown, fans and analysts are now shifting their focus to Ajith's next project, Good Bad Ugly (GBU), which is expected to receive aggressive promotion from Mythri Movie Makers, marking their Tamil debut.

While the film continues its run in key Tamil Nadu theatres, its performance is expected to decline, particularly with the onset of the exam season. Given this, moviegoers are now eagerly awaiting its OTT and television release.

When Will Ajith's Film Be Telecast On Sun TV & Streamed On Netflix?

Sun TV has acquired the satellite rights, ensuring a grand television premiere, while Netflix has secured the digital streaming rights.

Fans won't have to wait long, as Vidaamuyarchi is expected to be premiered on Netflix on March 28, followed by its television debut on April 14 on Sun TV, coinciding with Tamil New Year celebrations.
