Vidaamuyarchi Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajith's Film Gets Solid Opening In Tamil Nadu, Decent In Karnataka
Ajith Kumar's latest release, Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has kicked off to an impressive start at the Tamil Nadu box office, despite mixed audience reactions and the challenge of a working day with no special morning shows.
The film recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 61.23% on its opening day, with strong performances in key regions, as per Sacnilk. The movie, which also has Trisha Krishnan and Arjun in key roles, has performed well in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Chennai led the charge with an outstanding 89.00% occupancy across 1,150 shows, peaking at 95% during morning shows and maintaining a steady 91% during night shows.
- Coimbatore and Pondicherry followed closely, with 85.25% and 92.50% occupancy, respectively. Pondicherry's night shows hit a remarkable 95%.
- Trichy emerged as the top performer with a staggering 93.00% occupancy, including a full 100% during morning shows.
- Other cities like Madurai, Salem, and Vellore also posted strong numbers, with occupancies ranging from 66.25% to 80.75%.
- However, the film struggled in metropolitan areas outside Tamil Nadu, with Bengaluru at 31.25%, Mumbai at 29.50%, and the National Capital Region (NCR) at 20.25%.
