Vidaamuyarchi Advance Booking: 4.3 Lakh Tickets Sold, Rs 14.21 Crore Earned; TN, Karnataka Set For Big Opening

The craze around Ajith Kumar's latest action thriller Vidaamuyarchi is huge as the advance booking of tickets have met with a fantastic response.

How Many Tickets Of Vidaamuyarchi Have Been Sold, So Far?

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film has already set the box office on fire even before its release, thanks to its massive advance bookings. So far, a whopping 4.30 lakh tickets for the first day alone have been sold. That's right-430,866 tickets sold! And the numbers don't stop there. The pre-sales have already raked in a staggering Rs 14.21 crore, proving once again that Thala Ajith's star power is unstoppable.

In its home turf of Tamil Nadu, Ajith Kumar-starrer has raked in Rs 11.48 crore from 3,218 shows. There is a huge demand for tickets in cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, and Trichy, with the capital city alone contributing Rs 4.65 crore, Coimbatore adding Rs 1.17 crore, and Trichy chipping in Rs 41.56 lakh.

But it's not just Tamil Nadu-neighbouring states are also joining the party. It has raked in Rs 1.98 crore from 1,179 shows in Karnataka, with Bengaluru leading the charge at Rs 1.92 crore. Kerala, though smaller in numbers, has still managed to pull in a solid Rs 54.22 lakh from 898 shows.

However, it's not all sunshine and roses. The film's performance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has been a bit underwhelming. Andhra managed only Rs 9.87 lakh from 35 shows, while Telangana brought in Rs 8.8 lakh from 105 shows. But hey, you can't win everywhere, right?

The film boasts a stellar cast, with Trisha Krishnan playing the female lead alongside Ajith. The supporting cast includes heavyweights like Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav, among others.

The Tamil movie has Anirudh Ravichander's music. Om Prakash's cinematography promises to be a visual treat, and NB Srikanth's editing is expected to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

With such a fantastic response even before its release, Vidaamuyarchi is clearly shaping up to be one of the biggest hits of the year.
