Now, rare childhood photographs of the former Miss World have surfaced, showing that her striking beauty was evident even during her pre-teen years.

The pictures have also sparked comparisons between Aishwarya and her daughter, Aaradhya, with fans calling the youngster a spitting image of her mother.

On Monday, the subreddit Classic Desi Celebs shared a collection of vintage pictures from Aishwarya Rai's early years, before her rise to Bollywood stardom.

The seven-image carousel included a few familiar shots from her teenage modelling days. However, what caught fans' attention were two lesser-seen images of a much younger Aishwarya.

In one, she appears to be around 10 to 12 years old, likely posing for a pencil advertisement, wearing a hairband and bangs. In the other, an even younger Aish is seated on a chair, dressed in a pink and white skirt and sporting the same hairstyle.

Fans spot similarities with Aaradhya

Fans were quick to draw parallels between Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. "Aaradhya really is her mini me," one commenter wrote.

One comment read, "She literally grew into her features. Also, styling matters so much. The 3rd pic is such a step up in terms of aura from the previous two."

Another observed, "I suddenly realised her daughter has her features. The second last pic is quite telling." Several users noted the resemblance in their hairstyles too, with one fan joking, "Now I know where Aaradhya's hairstyle inspo comes from."

The rest of the post's images also drew admiration. "She really is one ethereal living painting... so darn gorgeous," gushed one admirer. Another added a poetic touch: "I will never in my life find anyone as beautiful as Aishwarya in her youth. She is the epitome of 'bhagwaan ne bhot fursat me banaya hai' (God created her with a lot of care)."
