Thalapathy Vijay Will Not Be Succesful In Politics: Rajinikanth's Brother Sathya Narayana Rao

Rajinikanth's brother, Sathya Narayana Rao, has expressed doubt about actor Vijay's chances of success in politics. While visiting the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, Rao spoke to reporters, stating that the Leo star is unlikely to make significant strides in Tamil Nadu politics.

He remarked, "Let him enter politics as Kamal Haasan did. Everyone has the right to participate in politics, but he has rushed into it, which he shouldn't have. There is no advantage in this hurry... nothing substantial can be achieved. Forming a party is one thing, winning is another. We will see his activities in the coming days, but I don't believe Vijay will succeed in Tamil Nadu."

Rajini s Brother On Vijay s Politics

Tamil Nadu has a long history of film personalities achieving political success. Legendary actor MG Ramachandran founded the AIADMK and remained Chief Minister until his death. His protégé, J. Jayalalithaa, served as Chief Minister six times, while DMK's M. Karunanidhi, who started as a scriptwriter, held the position five times.

Vijaykanth also experienced success in politics after establishing the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam.

Ironically, Rajinikanth, who hinted at a political entry for nearly two decades, withdrew from his political plans in 2020. His contemporary, Kamal Haasan, founded Makkal Needhi Maiam but struggled to make a significant impact in Tamil Nadu politics.

Vijay launched the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in February this year and held the party's first public conference in October, drawing thousands of supporters. His party plans to contest in the 2026 assembly elections.

He will be bidding goodbye after completing his upcoming movie, presently referred to as Thalapathy 69. It is written and directed by H Vinoth.

Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in the flick which has Bobby Deol doing the negative role. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani and others are part of the cast.

Karnataka-based KVN Productions is funding the movie which will hit the screens next Diwali.
