Thalapathy Vijay Returns From Russia, Casts His Vote In Neelankarai

Thalapathy Vijay on Friday landed in Chennai from Russia to cast his vote in the Lok Sabha elections.

The actor was busy with the shooting of his latest movie 'GOAT', directed by Venkat Prabhu. He has taken a break from the shoot to cast his vote.

Soon after returning to his home, Vijay left for the polling booth at Neelankarai in Chennai to cast his vote. He arrived at the polling centre around 12 pm.

From the moment he left his house, Vijay's vehicle was chased by his fans. At the polling centre, he was surrounded by the press and fans. Somehow, he managed to cast his vote and left the place.

The Lok Sabha polls are held at a time when Vijay has announced his political entry. The actor has floated his party 'Tamilaga Vetri Kazham' (TVK).

However, this election, Vijay's party is not taking part rather he has set his eyes on the 2026 assembly elections.

On the other hand, the actor is working on his science fiction film 'GOAT', which has Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth and Prabhu Deva in the key roles.

The movie was launched in October 2023 and completed a few schedules of shooting. Apart from Chennai, it has been shot in Thailand, Bangkok, Sri Lanka, Pondicherry and Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, many Tamil actors including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan cast their votes today.

Rajinikanth has urged the people to exercise their rights. "There is respect and pride if we say, that we have cast our vote. It is our duty and right. So please vote," the actor said after casting his vote.

The latest to cast his vote is Suriya. He said, "Everyone should participate and know about their candidates. People should know their candidates well before they come and cast their votes."

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar was mobbed by his fans as he left the polling booth in Chennai after casting his vote on Friday.
