Tamil YouTuber Irfan Reveals Gender Of His Unborn Child; Lands In Trouble

Tamil YouTuber Irfan has triggered a controversy by disclosing the gender of his unborn child.

The Tamil Nadu Health Department is taking action against YouTuber Irfan for publicly revealing the gender of his unborn child, which was determined through a test conducted abroad.

Enacted in 1994, the Indian Parliament passed the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, also known as the Prohibition of Sex Selection Act, which prohibits the use of any methods to ascertain the gender of a fetus after conception.

The test to determine the gender was conducted in Dubai, where it is legally permissible.

Irfan documented the process in two videos on his YouTube channel, chronicling his wife Aaliya's test and hosting a 'Gender Reveal Party.'

In the first video, the couple is seen visiting the hospital, interacting with medical professionals, and Aaliya undergoing the procedure. Notably, Irfan acknowledges at the outset that the practice is illegal in India but lawful in Dubai.

The second video showcases their gender reveal party, attended by family and friends, including actress and 'Bigg Boss Tamil 7' alum Maya S Krishnan.

Both videos have since gone viral on various social media platforms.

Interestingly, not many have raised objections to Irfan's decision to reveal the identity. "Romba happy anna I am also pregnant after 12 years now only God gave the gift anna ,super anna enjoy anna," one user commented.

The second user said, "Yeah im also literally crying for no reason suddenly it came..may Allah shower his blessings upon u both guyz." The third user stated, "Isn't irfan the sweetest guy ever.. lots of love to both of u.. but alia please know that i love u a bit more just because i could totally relate to u all the time.. wishing u both and cutie angel only happiness.."

Another netizen claimed, "I litterly cried when they announced girl.. I was hope for a baby girl while u guys arguing .. and Irafan's emotions heart touching. Really happy for both of you.. God blessed with lots of happiness in your life."

However, one user asked why it is illegal to conduct such tests in India. The user asked, "Why is it illegal in india to know the baby's gender? Even in sri lanka its just so normal to know the gender!!!"

On April 28, the couple had announced the news of her pregnancy. In the post, Irfan wrote, "Our family is about to Grow!!! We are happy to announce that WE ARE PREGNANT

Will we have a he? Or will we have a she? BTW I want a girl baby.
