Suriya Sivakumar Sustains Head Injury On 'Suriya 44' Film Sets
Actor Suriya Sivakumar suffered a minor head injury while filming his upcoming movie, presently referred to as 'Suriya 44.'
The shooting of the Tamil movie was temporarily halted following the incident. On August 9, producer Rajsekhar Pandian reassured fans of Suriya's well-being through a social media post.

The second schedule of 'Suriya 44' commenced in Ooty earlier this month. Production was progressing smoothly until this unfortunate incident occurred. The film is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
Producer's Assurance
Rajsekhar Pandian took to social media to calm fans' concerns. His post on X read, "Dear #AnbaanaFans, It was a minor injury. Pls don't worry, Suriya Anna is perfectly fine with all your love and prayers (sic)." See Rajsekhar's post here:
Reports indicate that Suriya's injury is minor. After receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Ooty, he has been advised to rest for a few days. Consequently, the film's shoot has been suspended.
'Suriya 44' Updates
On March 28, Suriya released the first-look poster of 'Suriya 44'. Featuring a car crash and an arrow pierced through a tree, the poster showcases the tagline 'Love Laughter War'. Alongside the poster, Suriya captioned, "New beginnings. Need all your good wishes (sic)." See the announcement poster here:
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Suriya is awaiting the release of his pan-India film, 'Kanguva'. The gory period drama is directed by Siruthai Siva and is touted to be an ambitious fantasy action, which has been produced on a massive budget of over Rs 300 crore.
The film also marks the South debut of Bobby Deol. Alongside Suriya and Bobby, it also features Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Marimuthu, Deepa Venkat, Ravi Raghavendra and KS Ravikumar in supporting roles.
Suriya's fans can breathe easy knowing he is recovering well from his injury. The production team will resume filming once he has fully rested.
