Sujay Kapur Property Dispute: Karisma Kapoor's Daughter Complains Her College Fees Not Paid

Karisma Kapoor's children allege unpaid educational fees in an ongoing legal dispute over their late father's assets. The court is set to hear further arguments regarding their claims and challenges against Priya Kapur's management of the estate.

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's children have alleged that the college fees of Samaira Kapur have not been paid for two months. She is currently studying at a university in the United States, PTI reported.

Justice Jyoti Singh presided over the hearing and expressed her desire to avoid any melodrama. She instructed Priya Kapur's legal representative to address such issues outside of court proceedings. The matter involves a dispute over the late Sunjay Kapur's assets, which are said to be valued at Rs 30,000 crore.

Dispute Over Asset Management

The children of Karisma Kapoor are challenging the validity of their late father's will. They have filed an interim injunction application to prevent Priya Kapur from managing Sunjay Kapur's assets. During the hearing, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani represented the children and highlighted the unpaid fees as part of their argument.

Jethmalani stated that according to a matrimonial decree, Sunjay Kapur was responsible for covering his children's educational expenses. He pointed out that Priya Kapur holds control over the children's estate and should ensure timely payment of fees.

Priya Kapur's Response

Representing Priya Kapur, senior advocate Rajiv Nayar dismissed the claims as unfounded and misleading. He argued that Priya has consistently met the children's needs and asserted that the fees had already been settled. Nayar suggested that bringing this issue to court was merely an attempt to attract media attention.

The court has scheduled further arguments on the interim application for next week. Meanwhile, questions about the authenticity of Sunjay Kapur's will remain unresolved as Karisma Kapoor's children continue their legal challenge.

Allegations Against Priya Kapur

The children accused Priya Kapur of being "greedy" and likened her to a "Cinderella stepmother." This reference draws from the fairytale where Cinderella is mistreated by her stepmother in favour of her own daughters. Such allegations add another layer of complexity to this family dispute.

Previously, the high court requested Priya Kapur to provide a detailed list of Sunjay Kapur's assets. In response, she informed the court that Karisma Kapoor's children have already received Rs 1,900 crore from a family trust.
