Su From So Lifetime Box Office Collection: Forget Kantara 2, Raj's Film Minted This Amount

Before Kantara 2 set the India box office on fire, it was JP Thuminad's Su From So that had given a major relief to the Kannada box office.

Released on July 24, the Kannada movie become a mega hit despite no big names in the star cast. Shaneel Gautham, JP Thuminad and Raj B Shetty-starrer won the hearts of the audience with their comedy content.

The success in Kannada helped the movie to be dubbed in other languages. The fans might be surprised to know that it had earned less than Rs 1 crore on its opening and the positive word-of-mouth helped the flick to mint big money.

On its first day, it earned Rs 78 lakh (Net) in India. It reached Rs 2.17 crore on its second day and minted Rs 3.5 crore on its third day (Sunday) which shows the power of good reviews from the public.

In its first week, Su From So earned Rs 20.15 crore. Notably, it earned Rs 27.9 crore in its week 2, to take its total to close to Rs 48 crore. Rs 22.5 crore in week 3, Rs 10.8 crore in week 4 and Rs 7.04 crore in week 5.

So, how much has the movie made at the box office in its lifetime?

Now, Shashidhar Shetty Baroda, one of the producers of the movie, has opened up on its collection. He has revealed that the movie has minted Rs 140 crore in its lifetime.

As per Sacnilk, the movie has earned Rs 90.68 crore (net) in India. Also, the OTT rights of Su From So, which was made with the budget of Rs 4.5 crore, were reportedly sold for Rs 5 crore.

On the other hand, Rishab Shetty's Kantara 2 has grossed Rs 844.27 crore worldwide. In India, it has raked in Rs 615.65 crore (net) and grossed Rs 733.77 crore.
