Some Have Their Own Agenda...Kangana Criticizes Diljit Over Sardaar Ji 3 Collaboration

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has sharply criticized singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack.

In a recent interview with Times Now, Kangana questioned the lack of nationalistic responsibility among celebrities, stating, "Why is Diljit having his own path? Why should cricketers or other celebrities have their own path? Even a soldier has his own path of nationalism."

She added, "Some genuinely have their own agenda," drawing a clear contrast between public figures and the sincerity of soldiers and politicians.Kangana further emphasized that public figures hold a vital role in nation-building and should reflect a shared national sentiment. "Everybody is a stakeholder in nation-building... Some genuinely have their own agenda. I am not saying it is unnatural, but we must try to align everybody. We must try to align, and that will happen only when we bring this idea to these politicians; it is your work," she said.

The controversy gained further traction after the Indian government took action by blocking social media handles of several Pakistani artists and placing restrictions on their involvement in Indian entertainment content following the Pahalgam attack. Despite these measures, Sardaar Ji 3 was released overseas, and Diljit's choice to feature Hania Aamir in the project sparked backlash not just from the public but also from fellow celebrities within India.

While the film continues to run in international markets, Kangana's remarks have reignited the ongoing debate around patriotism, celebrity accountability, and cross-border collaborations during times of heightened national sensitivity.
