Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 4: Sikandar Faces Dip, Will It Cross ₹100 Cr in India?

Sikandar Box Office collection Day 4: After a strong start at the box office, Salman Khan's latest Bollywood film Sikandar saw a significant decline in domestic earnings, dropping by around 50% on its first Wednesday. The film, which opened to impressive numbers during its first three days, appears to have lost some momentum after its Eid release.

Sikandar's Worldwide Box Office Collection

Despite the slowdown in India, Sikandar reportedly set a record for the highest opening-day earnings by a Bollywood film in overseas markets, collecting approximately $2.25 million worldwide on its first day.

Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel noted on X, "Sikandar performs well on Tuesday, staying above the ₹20 crore mark. Salman Khan continues to pull crowds to theatres despite mixed reviews and an online leak."

According to the filmmakers, the film grossed ₹141.15 crore globally in its first three days. However, trade portal Sacnilk estimated the worldwide earnings at ₹123.75 crore gross until Day 3, with ₹88.75 crore coming from India and ₹35 crore from overseas markets.

Facing competition from L2 Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and suffering an online leak before its official release, Sikandar earned ₹9.75 crore net in India on April 2 (Day 4), as per Sacnilk. This brings its total domestic earnings to ₹84.25 crore net. The film had a strong opening with ₹26 crore on March 30, followed by ₹29 crore on Day 2.

Sacnilk predicts that Sikandar could enter the ₹100 crore net club in India by April 4 or 5. However, despite high expectations, the action-thriller has not fully lived up to the pre-release hype.

The Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) condemned the online leak of Sikandar, calling piracy a major threat to the film industry. According to PTI, IMPPA stated that piracy results in substantial revenue loss and endangers the livelihoods of those involved in film production, distribution, and exhibition.
