Leading actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam with his wife Suhasini, Suriya, Vikram, Nayanthara with her husband Vignesh Shivan, and several other celebrities from Tamil cinema attended the wedding of Aishwarya Shankar and Tarun Karthikeyan.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin attended the marriage and wished the couple. In February, Aishwarya Shankar got engaged to Tarun.

Shankar and his wife Eshwari were seen eagerly welcoming the guests.
It may be recalled that Aishwarya had earlier married cricketer Rohit Damodaran in June 2021. The wedding was held at a grand event in Mahabalipuram.

Rohit Damodaran landed in trouble after he was charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in relation to a case involving the sexual harassment of a 16-year-old girl. Apart from him, his father Damodaran, the secretary of the club, and three others were named by the victim in her police complaint.
