'Shaitaan' Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn, Madhavan's Film Hits Century On Day 6
Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan-starrer 'Shaitaan' has come out with flying colours at the box office. In just six days, the Hindi film has hit a century at the worldwide box office.
The film got an impressive start on Friday at the box office, earning Rs 14.75 crore on its opening day. Over the weekend, the supernatural thriller continued to draw audiences, bringing in Rs 18.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 20.5 crore on Sunday.

However, its collections took a downturn on Monday, plummeting to Rs 7.25 crore, followed by another drop on Tuesday to Rs 6.5 crore. The downward trend persisted on Wednesday, with earnings further declining to Rs 6.25 crore, according to a report in Sacnilk.com.
The movie has earned over Rs 20 crore from the overseas box office to cross Rs 100-crore mark.
'Shaitaan' currently holds the position of the third-highest-grossing film of the year, trailing behind 'Fighter' starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
It has to be noted that 'Shaitaan' faced no significant competitors in the first week. However, this Friday marks the release of two new films: Adah Sharma's 'Bastar: The Naxal Story' and Sidharth Malhotra's 'Yodha', posing a formidable challenge to its ongoing success.
Receiving mixed reviews from both critics and audiences, 'Shaitaan' is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati film 'Vash'. Produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios, the movie is directed by Vikash Bahl, renowned for his work on 'Queen'. Alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, the cast includes Palak Lalwani, Anngad Raaj, Manoj Anand, and others.
Interestingly, this is the first movie of Tamil actress Jyothika to cross Rs 100-crore mark.
