Samay Raina Deletes ‘India’s Got Latent’ Videos Amid Controversy, Says ‘Too Much to Handle’

Comedian Samay Raina announced on Wednesday that he has removed all videos related to India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel, stating that the situation has become overwhelming for him. This comes amid a growing controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's remarks on the show, which have sparked public outrage.

Facing summons from the Maharashtra Cyber Department, Raina clarified that his only intention was to entertain audiences.

Samay Raina Deletes India s Got Latent Videos Amid Controversy Promises Full Cooperation

"Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you," he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Ranveer Allahbadia Under Fire
The controversy erupted after video clips from the show, where Ranveer Allahbadia made controversial comments about parents and sex, went viral. With over 16 million followers, the influencer faced severe backlash, prompting calls for action against him.

In response, Allahbadia issued a video apology, admitting that his remarks were a "lapse in judgment" and acknowledging that "comedy is not his forte."

Legal Action & Cyber Police Investigation
The Maharashtra Cyber Police registered an FIR on Tuesday under relevant sections of the IT Act and issued notices to Allahbadia, along with others associated with the show, including guests and judges from past episodes.

Authorities have also directed the show's producers to take down all 18 episodes from social media, following concerns over vulgar and obscene language used in multiple episodes.

The controversy has now sparked a larger debate on freedom of speech and the boundaries of comedy, as the investigation continues.
