Samantha Ruth Prabhu Slams Minister Konda Surekha For Remarks On Her Divorce With Naga Chaitanya
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has responded to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha's remarks about her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. The actress shared her thoughts on Instagram, emphasising that her divorce is a personal matter. She urged the minister to respect individual privacy and avoid using her name in political disputes.
In her statement, Samantha expressed pride in her journey, highlighting the challenges women face in the entertainment industry. She criticised Konda Surekha for trivialising her experiences and reminded the minister of the responsibility that comes with her position. Samantha stated, "I am proud of what this journey turned me into-please don't trivialise it."

Samantha's Divorce: A Personal Matter
Samantha clarified that her separation from Naga Chaitanya was mutual and amicable, with no political involvement. She requested that people refrain from speculating about their private decision. "My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it," she wrote.
Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna, also reacted to Konda Surekha's comments. He condemned the minister's remarks on social media platform X, urging respect for privacy. He stated, "As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false."
Allegations Against KT Rama Rao
During a press conference, Konda Surekha accused BRS working president KT Rama Rao of being behind Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's divorce. She claimed that Rao demanded Samantha be sent to him to prevent the demolition of the N-Convention centre.
Konda Surekha alleged that Nagarjuna asked Samantha to comply with Rao's demands, but she refused. This refusal supposedly led to their separation. However, both Samantha and Nagarjuna have dismissed these claims as baseless.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017 after dating for several years. They announced their separation in October 2021 after four years of marriage. Despite their split, both have maintained a respectful silence regarding personal details.
The actress has consistently chosen not to engage in political matters and wishes to continue doing so. Her focus remains on her career and personal growth without unnecessary public scrutiny or political entanglements.
