The crime branch requested 14-day custody of the two accused, stating that their interrogation was necessary to uncover details of the conspiracy and identify the mastermind behind the shooting incident. However, the court approved a nine-day custody for the accused.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Joint police commissioner of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch Lakhmi Gautam said that the accused fired five rounds of bullets.

In a post on Facebook, Anmol Bishnoi, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, had claimed, "We have arrested two accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal from Bhuj district in Gujarat. Primarily, they have done 'recce' of the house thrice."

On Sunday morning, a firing incident unfolded outside Galaxy Apartments, involving two unidentified assailants who fled the scene. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects arrived on a motorcycle, concealing their identities under helmets, pointing to a meticulously planned attack.

The probe into the shooting incident at Salman Khan's residence has uncovered that the assailants had leased a room in Panvel for a month to survey both the actor's farmhouse and his residence in Bandra.

A crime branch official said that they bought a used motorcycle from a local in Panvel for Rs 20,000 via an intermediary, who was not the bike's initial owner. Since the motorcycle was still registered under the first owner's name, the crime branch located the original owner and the middleman who facilitated the rental accommodation for the assailants, interrogating them on Monday.

On the other hand, Salman Khan's brother and actor Arbaaz Khan stated that the particular "disturbing" incident has affected the family.

"The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person in a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it's all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously," the statement read.
