Rani Mukerji's Unplanned Journey To Bollywood Stardom
Actress Rani Mukerji has had a successful career with many hit films. She started her journey in the film industry with a Bengali movie, 'Biyer Phool', and then moved to Bollywood, where she has been a prominent figure for 27 years.
Interestingly, becoming an actress was never her dream. Despite facing early rejections due to her unique voice, Rani never gave up. As she celebrated her 46th birthday on 21st March, we delve into how she entered the acting world.

Rani Mukerji's entry into films was not driven by personal ambition but by encouragement from someone close to her. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she shared that she initially wanted to focus on her studies when a film offer came her way.
However, her mother persuaded her to give acting a try, suggesting she could return to her studies if things didn't work out. Unbeknownst to Rani at the time, her family was in need of financial support. She later realized the decision to act was beneficial for her family. Rani's first film role was in a project directed by her father, Ram Mukerji.
Following her debut in Bengali cinema, Rani made her Bollywood debut with 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat' in 1997. She went on to star in several successful films such as 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Saathiya', 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega', and 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. These roles have cemented her status as one of Bollywood's leading actresses.
