Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Kharbanda's 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' Re-Release Date

Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda's film 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' is set for a theatrical re-release on March 7, coinciding with Women's Day. This move follows the trend of re-releasing films in Bollywood, spearheaded by Deepak Mukut's 'Soham Rockstar Entertainment'. After successfully bringing back 'Sanam Teri Kasam', Mukut is now reviving this 2017 film.

The movie features Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda in lead roles, with K K Raina, Alka Amin, Govind Namdev, and Manoj Pahwa in supporting roles. Directed by Ratna Sinha and produced under Vinod Bachchan's Soundarya Productions, the film tells the story of Aarti and Sattu. Aarti agrees to an arranged marriage but flees on the wedding day. Sattu later returns as an IAS officer seeking revenge.

Film's Past Performance

Initially released in 2017, 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' did not perform well at the box office. With a budget of Rs 13 crore, it earned Rs 11.14 crore during its original run. Despite its initial failure, the film has since gained a following due to its engaging storyline.

Rajkummar Rao expressed his excitement about the re-release by sharing the film's poster on Instagram Stories. The re-release aims to attract more viewers and increase earnings, similar to what happened with 'Sanam Teri Kasam'.

The re-release date of March 7 appears strategic as there are no major releases scheduled for that day. John Abraham's 'The Diplomat', initially set for March 7, was postponed to March 14. This gap could benefit 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana', potentially drawing more audiences to theatres.

The film's soundtrack has also been well-received by audiences over time. Its music continues to be appreciated, adding another layer of appeal for viewers considering revisiting or watching it for the first time.
