She said, "I feel deep pain for the countless women featured in these videos. They all look like simple women from decent & simple families. It's very unfortunate that these victims faces are being used for political discussions by various groups."

However, she vented out her anger against the people who are spreading the posts on WhatsApp and other social media sites.

She continued, "The least these people could have done is to have blurred out the faces. How will they face the society in future ?? In what angle are people going to see them from now on? What about their family & children? Imagine the kind of mental trauma they might be going through now!!"

The multilingual actress then demanded punishment on par with the the person who committed the heinous crime against the women.

The actress stated, "Have you all ever thought if this? The people who are responsible for spreading these videos to public need to be punished in par with the person who has allegedly committed these horrendous acts. I have always stood up for respect , safety & equality for women & i will always do

I pray to the almighty to give strength & courage to all the innocent families effected by the whole case. Jai Hind."

The Scandal
Explicit video clips allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna had started making the rounds in Hassan just days before the polling on April 26, following which the state government constituted the SIT to probe the alleged sex scandal involving the MP.

Reportedly, Prajwal Revanna departed the country on April 27, just after the initial phase of Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka on April 26. His legal representative requested a seven-day extension for his appearance before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). However, the investigative team responded that such an extension was not feasible due to the absence of any provision for it.

The second FIR was filed against Prajwal Revanna, this time by the CID in Bengaluru on Wednesday based on a complaint by a JD(S) party worker, who alleged she was raped by Prajwal at gunpoint. He later made a video of her and blackmailed the woman saying he would make it viral if she did not fulfill his lust whenever he demanded, the complaint said.

Meanwhile, Prajwal's father and JDS MLA HD Revanna has been taken into custody by the Special Investigation Team that's looking into kidnapping allegations by a woman.
