Prem Chopra Health Update: Veteran Hindi Actor's Condition Is Stable

Doctors have confirmed that the 92-year-old actor is stable despite developing a lung infection. He was initially hospitalised due to a heart condition and viral infection. His family reassures fans that there is no cause for concern, the IANS reported.

Dr. Jalil Parker, part of the medical team treating Prem Chopra, stated, "Prem Chopra ji was admitted to Leelavati Hospital two days ago under his family cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale. He has a heart issue also, and he also developed a viral infection, a lung infection, for which I am also the treating physician in the same team. He is not in the ICU, he is in the rooms, in the wards, and he is not critical".

Prem Chopra's Health Condition

The actor's son-in-law has confirmed that Prem Chopra is recovering well and should be discharged soon. The doctors mentioned that due to age-related issues, recovery might take longer. However, they expect him to leave the hospital within two to three days.

Prem Chopra's career spans decades with memorable performances in films like "Hulchul" (1971), "Bobby" (1973), and "Souten" (1983). His recent appearance was in Ranbir Kapoor's movie "Animal," released in 2023.

In 1969, Prem Chopra married Uma Malhotra. Together they have three daughters: Rakita, Punita, and Prerna Chopra. The family remains by his side during his hospital stay.

The medical team shared with IANS that Prem Chopra has been at Lilavati Hospital since Saturday. They assured fans of his stable condition and imminent discharge.
