Prateik Babbar Kept Looking Into My Eyes During Nude Scenes Shoot: Sayani Gupta

Sayani Gupta, known for her role in Four More Shots Please!, recently praised her co-star Prateik Babbar for his professionalism during their intimate scenes in the series. Speaking about their experience, she shared how he made her feel at ease while filming a nude scene. "His eyes didn't shift for a second; he just kept looking into my eyes. My respect for him reached a new level," Sayani said in an interview with India Today.

In the Amazon Prime series, Sayani portrays Damini Rizvi Roy "Dee," an investigative journalist, while Prateik plays Jeh Wadia, a bar owner. Despite her positive remarks about Prateik, Sayani opened up about some unpleasant experiences during bold scenes in her career.

A Troubling Encounter on Set

Sayani revealed an instance where a co-star kissed her even after the director had called "cut." "I could write a book about intimacy, and I am grateful that this [intimacy coordinator] is now a profession in India. Intimate scenes are the easiest to do because they are technical," she said. However, she accused some actors of crossing boundaries. "I've been in situations where an actor lingered on a kiss after a cut. It may be subtle, but it's indecent behavior."

Challenges of Filming Bold Scenes

The 39-year-old also shared feeling vulnerable while filming certain scenes in Four More Shots Please!. She recalled an incident where she had to lie on sand in a revealing dress, surrounded by 70 men on set, without any support. "There wasn't even one person to offer me a shawl or stand by my side. The lack of concern for an actor's safety is troubling. Boundaries are often compromised, and this mindset needs to change," Sayani stated.

Sayani made her film debut in 2012 with Marriage Dot Com and has since appeared in notable movies like Fan (2016), Jolly LLB 2 (2017), and Article 15 (2019). Despite facing challenges in her career, she remains a strong advocate for better safety and respect for actors, especially during sensitive scenes.
