'Panchayat 3' Review: What's Good, What's Bad; Find Out Here
Deepak Kumar Mishra-directed 'Panchayat' season 3 is out. The eight-episode series has been released on Amazon Prime on May 28.
The Story
In 'Panchayat 3,' Prahlad (Faisal Malik) falls into depression and alcoholism after his son's death. Sachiv Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) is transferred, upsetting Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir Yadav), Prahlad, and Vikas (Chandan Roy), who work to prevent a new Sachiv from taking over.

Their efforts succeed, and Abhishek returns to Phulera village. Meanwhile, a conflict arises between Phulera village and MLA Chandrakishore Singh (Pankaj Jha), setting the stage for the story's unfolding events.
Review
The standout elements of 'Panchayat 3' are the well-developed characters of Neena Gupta and Faisal Malik. They shine in this season with compelling performances.
Neena Gupta, transitioning from a proxy president to a more active role, captivates with her portrayal. Faisal Malik's depiction of Prahlad's grief is profoundly moving, adding emotional depth to the show.
Jitendra Kumar impresses once again as Sachiv Ji, with a delightful romantic subplot involving Sanvikaa. The supporting cast, including Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Pankaj Jha, and Durgesh Kumar, deliver strong performances, contributing to the show's engaging moments and well-written characters. The season concludes with a solid cliffhanger.
While the first two seasons of 'Panchayat' were known for their breezy humor, the third season shifts focus to politics and drama, leading to a more serious tone. This change might disappoint those expecting more comedy. The pacing is often sluggish, and the editing could have been tighter. The high standards set by the earlier seasons make this installment feel slightly underwhelming.
What Netizens Say?
Hailing the series, one user commented, "Every single scene capture the essence of rural India with its heartfelt narrative and compelling characters. As always, Deepak Kumar Mishra brings something new and fresh. Like the first two seasons, you'll remember every character this time as well. The highlight is Faisal Malik; his dialogues are few but powerful, and whenever he's on screen, the scene becomes intense. Once again, TVF's writing wins hearts."
Another netizen stated, "Finished #Panchayat Season 3 in one night and here is my view.
