Pakistani Actress Bushra Ansari Takes Jibe At Javed Akhtar: 'Marne Mein Aapke Do Ghante Reh Gaye Hain' | WATCH

Pakistani actor Bushra Ansari has taken a swipe at Indian lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar following his critical comments about Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack last month, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a report by Reviewit.pk, Bushra, currently abroad, advised Javed Akhtar to refrain from commenting on the issue, making a pointed remark about his age, saying, "You've only a couple of hours left in your life."

Without naming him directly, Bushra said, "Humare writer so-called, unko toh bahana hi chahiye tha. Actually unko toh makaan kiraaye pe nahi milta tha Bombay mein. Apni existence k liye jitni chahe woh kar sakte hai...Pata nahi kya kya bol rahe hai aap. Koi haya karein. Marne mein aapke do ghante reh gaye hai, upar se aap itni fizool baatein karrahe hai (This so-called writer always needs an excuse. He used to struggle to find a house on rent in Bombay. To maintain his relevance, he can say anything... Who knows what he's going on about? One should have some decency. You're nearing the end of your life and still making such pointless remarks).

Bushra also contrasted Javed's outspokenness with the silence of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, suggesting that he ought to follow suit.

"Itna bhi kya koi dare, itna laalach kare. Chalo ji chup karjaaye aap. Naseeruddin Shah bhi toh hai, woh chup baithe hai na? Aur bhi toh chup baithe hai na? Jiske dil mein jo hai woh rakkha rahe. Yeh toh pata nahi kya keh rahe hai (Why such fear and greed? Be quiet now. Look at Naseeruddin Shah - he remains silent, doesn't he? Others do too. Keep what's in your heart to yourself. Who knows what he's even saying).

She added that she met an Indian girl moments ago who spoke to her with kindness and affection, stressing that ordinary Indians are not hostile, but are instead being "provoked" by political rhetoric.

What Javed Akhtar Said

Javed Akhtar recently called on the Indian government to take firm action against Pakistan for its alleged involvement in the Pahalgam terror incident.

Speaking at the Glorious Maharashtra Festival, he said, as quoted by ANI, "This hasn't just happened once-it's occurred multiple times. I urge the central government to act decisively. A few firecrackers at the border won't do. Take a strong step now. Do something that even that mad Army chief there will remember - no sensible person could say the things he does."

He further criticised the Pakistani Army chief for making divisive statements, noting, "He says Hindus and Muslims are different communities. He doesn't even consider the Hindus living in his own country. Is there no regard for them? What sort of man is that? They need a strong response-something unforgettable. I may not be well-versed in politics, but I do know that this is a time for decisive action, 'aar ya paar'."
