Never Said Anything: Mrunal Thakur On Marriage Rumours With Dhanush

Mrunal Thakur has finally broken silence on the rumours of her marriage with Dhanush.

When she was asked about the rumpurs of her marriage on February 14, she said, "Me?, nope. Because I don't know who started this.I think February 14 is going to be April 1 which is April Fools day. First of all, I have been quoted. I never said anything. They just said Mrunal said so. It's a scary space right now..."

The fire was fuelled weeks ago by an AI "wedding video" that took social media by storm. In the clip, Dhanush appeared in a traditional silk veshti, while Mrunal was decked out in an exquisite silk saree and bridal jewellry. Adding to the "authenticity" of the scene was a star-studded background featuring industry titans like Ajith Kumar, Vijay, Trisha, Anirudh Ravichander, and Shruti Haasan.

While fans were quick to celebrate, the sheer density of A-list cameos led many to believe the footage was either from a film set, a high-budget commercial, or a clever edit.

Dating rumours involving the pair first gained momentum in August 2025 after they were seen together at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2. Further sightings, including Thakur's presence at the wrap party for Dhanush's project Tere Ishk Mein, continued to fuel public interest. Despite the constant chatter, insiders had previously hinted that a wedding was unlikely given Thakur's packed professional calendar, which includes back-to-back releases in February and March.

With the actress now speaking out directly, the focus shifts back to her work. Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Do Deewane Seher Mein stars Thakur alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and is poised to be one of the month's major cinematic releases.
