Nayanthara Snubs Dhanush At Producer's Wedding In Chennai; A Pic Goes Viral

First time since the controversy broke out, Dhanush and Nayanthara came face-to-face for the first time since their public fallout, at producer Aakash Baskaran's wedding in Chennai.

Nayanthara attended the event with her husband Vignesh Shivan, but she snubbed him. Fans quickly noticed the seating arrangement, with Dhanush seated on one side of the venue, while Nayanthara and Vignesh were placed on the opposite side.

Despite being at the same event, there was no interaction or acknowledgment between the two. A picture has now gone viral.

At the wedding, Nayanthara was seen conversing with fellow industry figures like Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh Ravichander, while Dhanush too engaged in conversations with Sivakarthikeyan. However, there was no sign of any conversation or greeting between the two estranged actors.

This cold encounter follows recent controversy, sparked by Nayanthara's accusations against Dhanush in her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. She claimed that Dhanush demanded a staggering Rs 10 crore for just three seconds of footage from their 2017 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Expressing her disappointment, Nayanthara wrote an open letter criticizing Dhanush's actions, calling his demand "appalling" and saying it reflected poorly on his character. She also accused him of refusing to grant permission for using footage or songs from the film in the documentary, despite it being a significant part of her career.

In her letter, Nayanthara questioned the lengths Dhanush went to, including sending a legal notice after the documentary trailer's release, seeking damages for the brief footage. She expressed her shock at his behavior, especially since the moments in question were publicly shared on social media and were behind-the-scenes clips from their personal devices. She added that Dhanush's actions seemed to be fueled by an unresolved grudge, particularly following the success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which became one of his biggest successes as a producer.

The tension between the two actors dates back to comments Dhanush made before the film's release, which Nayanthara described as hurtful and damaging. Despite the years that have passed, she implied that Dhanush's resentment toward the film's success and his role in its production continues to influence his actions.
