Nargis Fakhri And Uday Chopra: Wedding Plans Or Just Friends? Insider Reveals All

Actress Nargis Fakhri and actor-filmmaker Uday Chopra made headlines yesterday after reports emerged suggesting that the pair are set to marry next year. Speculation started when Nargis was seen visiting the Chopra family home earlier this week, where she spent time with Uday's mother, Pamela Chopra.

However, Nargis' spokesperson quickly dismissed the wedding rumours in a statement to Pune Mirror. They clarified that Nargis, who currently lives in New York, is in Mumbai for a short time to work on a new project with American rapper Snoop Dogg. "Nargis is in Mumbai for a brief period only and has meetings lined up with a music label for her upcoming single with Snoop Dogg," the spokesperson explained.

The spokesperson further added, "There will be several other meetings for upcoming projects as well. Nargis is presently based out of New York and not Mumbai."

Rumours of a romantic relationship between Nargis and Uday have circulated for years. Recently, gossip also suggested that Nargis' visit to the Chopra residence might indicate that the two are living together. A source close to Nargis told Pune Mirror that while she often meets Uday when she is in Mumbai, they are no longer a couple. "Nargis meets Uday whenever she is in Mumbai, but they are not together anymore. After meeting with the Chopras, she went to a slumber party with her girlfriends," the source revealed.

Following her time with friends, Nargis is expected to return to New York by the end of this week. The actors have trended on and off over the years due to their rumoured affair, which Uday has previously addressed on social media. In a tweet, he wrote, "Ok so it had to come to this... Nargis Fakhri and I are close friends and all the rumours that are doing the rounds have no basis in reality." In earlier interviews, he maintained, "She is just a friend."

In 2016, Nargis reportedly left promotional duties for Housefull 3 and flew to New York following an alleged breakup with Uday. While she did miss the promotions, her spokesperson clarified that she needed a break from her busy work schedule.
