Mithun Chakraborty Is ‘Quite Stable’ After Ischemic Cerebrovascular Stroke Diagnosis

Mithun Chakraborty health update: Veteran actor and BJP politician Mithun Chakraborty is now in better health and is described as 'quite stable.' An official was quoted by the news agency PTI on Sunday.

The 73-year-old actor reportedly experienced severe chest discomfort and was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on Saturday. Following several medical tests, including an MRI, the actor is said to be recovering well, conscious, oriented, and active on a soft diet, as informed by a medical facility official to PTI.

Actress Debashree Roy, who is set to co-star with Mithun in Shastri, provided an update on his condition, mentioning that she visited him in the hospital. She stated that Mithun da's condition has improved since he was admitted on time, although his sugar levels had dropped, causing discomfort. Roy mentioned that he has been moved out of the ICU and is currently recuperating in a room.

An official statement from the hospital announced that Mithun has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (stroke) of the brain. The statement elaborated that upon arrival at the hospital, the actor complained of weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. Following necessary laboratory and radiology investigations, including an MRI, the diagnosis was confirmed.

The statement reassured that Mithun is fully conscious, oriented, and on a soft diet. He is undergoing further evaluation by a team of doctors, including specialists in neurology, cardiology, and gastroenterology.
