Veteran Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair died following a road accident in Pathanamthitta. The crash also left his spouse and others injured. Officials report a subsequent heart attack during treatment, ending a long career in Malayalam cinema spanning over a hundred films.

Malayalam film actor Santhosh Nair died while undergoing treatment after a road accident in Pathanamthitta. The collision happened at Enathu, when the car carrying Santhosh Nair crashed into a lorry. Medical teams tried to save Santhosh Nair, but efforts failed.

Police said the crash took place around 6.30 a.m. on 5 May 2026. Santhosh Nair’s spouse Shubhasree was also in the car and sustained injuries. The lorry driver suffered wounds as well and is receiving treatment under medical supervision.

According to hospital sources, Santhosh Nair suffered a heart attack while under treatment for accident injuries. The actor had been rushed from the crash site in critical condition. Doctors continued monitoring, yet the sudden cardiac arrest ended the treatment efforts.
