Malayalam Actress Lakshmi Menon Accused in Kochi Kidnap and Assault Case

Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon has landed in legal trouble after being named in an alleged attempted abduction and assault case in Kochi. According to Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Wimaladitya, the award-winning actress has been absconding since the incident. Police have already arrested three of the four accused, and a detailed investigation is underway into the actress's role in the case.

The complainant, identified as Aliyar Shah Saleem from Aluva, stated in his FIR that a violent altercation broke out between two groups at a bar in Kochi. Lakshmi Menon, along with Mithun, Aneesh, and another female associate, was allegedly involved in the conflict.

What Happened in the Kochi Abduction Case?

According to the police report, the fight spilled out of the bar and onto the streets when the complainant and his friends tried to flee. Around 11:45 p.m. near the North Railway overbridge, the complainant's car was intercepted, and he was forcibly dragged out.

He was allegedly forced into the accused's vehicle, assaulted on his face and body, and threatened with dire consequences. Later, he was dropped off at the Aluva-Paravur junction. Based on his statement, police registered a case and began an intensive probe.

Two accused, Mithun and Aneesh, both residents of Aluva and Paravur, have already been taken into custody. Authorities continue to track down Lakshmi Menon, who remains missing.
