'Maharaja' 1st Week Box Office Collection: Vijay Sethupathi-Starrer Hits Half Century In 7 Days

Vijay Sethupathi has delivered a hit movie in the form of 'Maharaja' which had hit the screens on June 14.

In the first week itself, the movie has crossed Rs 50-crore mark at the worldwide box office. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the movie got a a strong opening backed by positive word-of-mouth.

As per the trade reports, the film has accumulated an estimated 38.40 crore net at the Indian box office after 7 days, with a gross collection of Rs 45.31 crore. Overseas, the Vijay Sethupathi-led film has garnered a decent 8.50 crore gross.

Combined, the worldwide box office total reaches 53.81 crore gross.

The movie was made with the estimated budget of Rs 20 crore. The movie has been already declared a hit at the collection centres.

It is a crime drama in which filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will be seen in an important role. It has Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Vinod Sagar, Manikandan, Bharathiraja and others in the cast.

However, it has to be seen how the movie will perform in the days to come since Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' which has Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Shobhana and others in the cast.
