Loveyapa Twitter Review: Viewers On X Praise Junaid Khan's Debut And Khushi Kapoor’s Movie, Call Film Engaging

Junaid Khan's much-awaited film Loveyapa finally hit theaters on Friday, February 7, just in time for Valentine's Week. Released on Rose Day, this romantic comedy has been making quite a buzz online, thanks to its unique take on modern relationships.

The film explores the challenges of contemporary love in a digital world, following a couple as they navigate unexpected truths about each other. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor made their OTT debuts with Maharaj (2024) and The Archies (2023), respectively. While not their first acting venture, Loveyapa marks their big-screen debut.

On its opening day, Loveyapa collected ₹1.25 crore net at the domestic box office, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.56% on Friday, with Hyderabad leading in footfall, followed by Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.

Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel shared his take on X, calling Loveyapa "a fun and engaging experience that perfectly captures the Gen Z vibe." He praised the film for its blend of humor and emotions.

Junaid Khan's confident performance received positive feedback, but it was Khushi Kapoor who truly stole the show. Kadel noted, "She shines in emotional scenes, and her performance hints at a bright future ahead."

Alongside Junaid and Khushi, the film features a talented cast including Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Kiku Sharda, Tanvika Parlikar, Devishi Madaan, and Nikhil Mehta.

A special screening in Mumbai saw Bollywood's biggest names turn up, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, impressed by the film, shared his thoughts, saying he'd "happily watch it again." Calling Loveyapa the first big love story of 2025, he added, "You'll fall in love with the characters, thanks to the terrific ensemble cast and the charming leads."
