'Light Of Your Life' Brought Darkness In Our Lives: Aarti Blames Jayam Ravi's Girlfriend Kenishaa For Divorce

Aarti Ravi has directly blamed Jayam Ravi's rumoured girlfriend Kenishaa for the trouble in her marriage and divorce while calling his "light of his life" brought "darkness" in their lives.

In a strongly worded press statement released recently, Aarti wrote, "There is little space for those who choose dignity over drama. Recent manipulations leave me no choice but to speak one last time.

The truth needs to be said-once and for all. Money, power, interference, or control-none of these are why our marriage suffers. There is a third person in our marriage. What broke us wasn't something between us-it was someone outside. The 'light of your life' brought only darkness into ours. That's the truth. This person was already in the picture-long before any divorce papers were filed. This isn't guesswork. I have proof."

The phrase "light of your life" is a pointed reference to Ravi's earlier public statement in which he praised Kenishaa with those very words.

Aarti On Allegations Of 'Controlling And Abusive Wife"

Aarti also addressed allegations Ravi made in his two-page letter, including claims that she was controlling and abusive.

"If caring for my husband, protecting him from harmful habits and patterns that threatened the stability of our home makes me controlling, so be it. Any loving wife would've done the same... For women who don't, society often reserves far worse labels."

Refuting Ravi's dramatic claim that he left their home "barefoot and stripped of dignity", Aarti stated: "He left in branded sneakers, fully clothed, with access to his wallet, his Range Rover, and every other possession he wished to take. He wasn't exiled. He exited-calmly, consciously, and with a plan."

She went on to say that if Ravi had truly sought refuge, he could have turned to his parents instead of the woman who, she alleges, only deepened their crisis.

"Let us not confuse a rescue mission with a rendezvous disguised as righteousness," she added.

Aarti further questioned why Ravi remained in the marriage for so long-celebrating anniversaries, going on vacations, and posting family moments on social media-if he truly felt trapped.

"A man with every resource at his disposal stayed-until he was confronted. That was the moment he chose to walk-not out of fear, but because the secret was no longer safe."

How Jayam Ravi Targeted Aarti And Her Family

In his earlier letter, Jayam Ravi had accused Aarti and her "privileged family" of emotionally and financially draining him. He also defended his association with Kenishaa, praising her for standing by him through his personal, legal, and emotional battles.

"She reminded me that I carried light and deserved to be happy... I will not ever allow even a whisper of disrespect toward her character or her profession," Ravi wrote.

He described Kenishaa as a talented singer and spiritual therapist, adding that she offered support as a friend and not in a professional capacity, as that would violate ethical boundaries.

Jayam Ravi and Aarti married in 2009. Their relationship reportedly ended in 2024, though Aarti's statement suggests that the emotional separation may have begun earlier.
