'Leo' 2nd Day Box Office Collection: Vijay-Starrer Performs Well In Tamil Nadu

Vijay's 'Leo' has performed exceptionally well at the box office despite getting mixed reviews. Not just in Tamil Nadu, but across South India and a few overseas centres.

Seven Screen Studio, which funded the project, has officially claimed that the movie minted Rs 148.5 crore on the first day and claimed that the movie has broken several records.

The makers claimed that 'Leo' has become the highest day one worldwide grossing Indian movie of 2023. However, the break-up of the collection was not given.

As per the trade analysts, 'Leo' has grossed over Rs 30-35 crore on the first day. In Andhra and Telangana, it earned over Rs 16 crore. The film collected over Rs 12 crore and 14 crore, respecitvely in Kerala and Karnataka, respectively.

However, these figures are contended by another section of viewers and critics who claim that the numbers are exaggerated. Many are sharing screenshots of citing empty shows from ticket-booking sites.

Despite confusion around its actual collection, the movie has performed well at the box office on day two as well. The early estimation claims that the movie has raked in over Rs 20 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 5+ crore in Andhra, Rs 3+ crore in Kerala 2+ crore in Karnataka and Rs 2+ crore from rest of India.

It is estimated that 'Leo' has estimated to have earned over Rs 32 crore on day two. The two-day collection of the movie in India to be around Rs 100 crore.

'Leo' is an action-packed film, written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has Trisha Krishnan playing the female lead with Sanjay Dutt and Arjun in key roles.

Among the overseas centres, 'Leo' has done superb business in the US where it has earned over Rs 25 crore.
