Kuberaa 1st Day Box Office Collection: Dhanush-Nag's Film Gets Good Start In AP, Karnataka, TN

Dhanush and Nagarjuna-starrer Kuberaa has opened to a good start at the India box office. The movie was released in multiple languages on Friday.

Interestingly, the Telugu version has fared better than the Tamil version despite the main hero Dhanush hailing from Tamil Nadu.

Kuberaa Day 1 Box Office Collection

As per the Sacnilk data, Kuberaa had an overall 57.36% Telugu Occupancy with the morning shows getting 38.94% occupancy. The matinee or afternoon shows had 54.58% occupancy. The evening shows witness 57.04% occupancy. As the movie started getting positive response, the occupancy jumped to 78.87% for the night shows.

Telugu Version Response

Hyderabad recorded the highest occupancy rate with a 67% occupancy rate from 530 shows. Vizag-Visakhapatnam enjoyed 53% occupancy from 158 shows. It is followed by Vijayawada (56.00% from 117 shows), Warangal(67.50% from 34 shows) and Kakinada (69.75% from 28 shows).

Outside Andhra and Telangana, Bengaluru witnessed 35.25% occupancy for 316 shows for the Telugu version of Kuberaa.

Tamil Version Response

The Tamil version of Kuberaa had an overall 33.73% on Friday. It had a slow start with morning shows receiving 26.85%. The occupancy slightly jumped for afternoon (29.30%) and evening shows (31.32%). The night shows registered 47.46% occupancy rate.

Chennai was among the top performers with the overall occupancy rate at 48.75% from 419 shows. Coimbatore comes second with 31.75% occupancy rate from 154 shows. It is followed by Madurai (29.00% from 94 shows), and Salem (28.00% from 48 shows).

The Tamil version of Kuberaa recorded 24.00% from 270 shows in Bengaluru, 38.75% from 40 shows in Pondicherry, and 16.00% from 57 shows in Kochi.

However, the Kannada version of Kuberaa had 6.54% in about 50 shows, while the Hindi version had 6.73% from 300+ shows.

The early estimates coming from the trade tracker claims that the movie has earned about Rs 13 crore (nett) on day 1 in India. The movie has grossed around Rs 17 crore on the opening day.
