Kollywood Actor Thalapathy Vijay Set For Political Debut Ahead Of Lok Sabha Elections 2024

South cinema's one of the top actors, Thalapathy Vijay is all set to step into politics officially now. According to the reports, Thalapathy Vijay will soon register his political party and may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. The reports said that Thalapathy Vijay got approval from his followers and members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam before the general elections.

Vijay Makkal Iyakkam's meeting was held in Chennai on Thursday where the Kollywood megastar was given a nod to register his party and name himself as the president. Thalapathy Vijay will also draft the by-laws for his political party.

Actor Vijay, who has a massive fan following in the Southern states, especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, has been active on the ground and engaged in various public welfare activities.

Earlier, in 2018, Thalapathy paid a visit to the families of those who lost their lives in the Thoothukudi Police firing, which marked the seriousness of his entry into politics. Following this, the fan club of the South superstar, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, has actively participated in political initiatives and even contested in local body elections in Tamil Nadu.
