Kareena Kapoor Khan Named UNICEF India Ambassador, Calls It Emotional
Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor has been appointed as UNICEF India's National Ambassador, marking a significant milestone in her decade-long collaboration with the organization. Initially joining as a Celebrity Advocate in 2014, Kareena was visibly moved during her recent appointment ceremony, where she expressed her dedication to advocating for child rights and ensuring a bright future for all children.
Taking to Instagram on May 4, Kareena shared her gratitude and excitement for her new role, stating, "An emotional day for me... Working with @unicefindia over the past 10 years has been truly enriching and insightful." She emphasized her commitment to promoting and protecting child rights, acknowledging the dedicated team behind these efforts.

Kareena's focus as UNICEF India's National Ambassador will be on advocating for vulnerable children, particularly in areas such as early childhood development, education, and gender equality. She stressed the importance of every child having a fair chance and a bright future, noting that children represent the future generation.
Regarding her professional commitments, Kareena was rumored to play a pivotal role in Yash's Toxic. However, due to scheduling conflicts, she had to opt out of the film, which requires an actress with a significant pan-India presence. Despite this, Kareena remains committed to her role as UNICEF India's National Ambassador, using her platform to champion the rights of children across the country.
