Kantara Chapter 1: Kantara 2 Sequel Of Rishab Shetty's Blockbuster To Go On Floors From November 27

Kantara, Rishab Shetty's blockbuster film, took the box office by storm when it hit theatres. The film's prequel has now been officially titled Kantara Chapter 1, much to the delight of eager fans.

Hombale Films made a grand announcement on Saturday, unveiling a poster and disclosing that the first glimpse of the Rishab Shetty-starrer will be unveiled on November 27. The film is set for a "Pan-World" release, spanning Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.

The commencement of Kantara Chapter 1 will coincide with the Muhurat Pooja, scheduled for November 27th. An elaborate set is currently under construction for the film, where actor-director Rishab Shetty, producer Vijay Kiragandur, and the entire cast and crew will gather. Post the auspicious ceremony, principal photography for the film is slated to commence in December, with the rest of the cast announcements forthcoming.

The original "Kantara," released in September 2022, featured Rishab Shetty in the lead role, which he also penned and directed. The film garnered admiration from celebrities, political figures, cricketers, and audiences alike, grossing over Rs 450 crores at the box office.

Earlier this year, discussing Kantara 2, Shetty clarified that what the audience witnessed was actually the sequel, and what's next in line is the prequel to Kantara. "We are immensely grateful to the audience for their overwhelming love and support for Kantara. Continuing this journey with the blessings of the divine, the film has completed a successful 100 days, and I'm thrilled to announce Kantara's prequel. What you've seen is actually Part 2; Part 1 will unfold next year," he revealed.
