'Kaatera' 1st Week Box Office Collection: 52.77 Lakh Tickets Sold, Grossing Rs 104.58 Crore
Challenging Star Darshan has bounced back with his latest Kannada film 'Kaatera' as the movie has emerged as the biggest hit of Sandalwood in the recent past.
'Kaatera' has joined Rs 100-crore club in the first week. As per the makers, 52.77 lakh tickets have been sold in seven days from 72 multiplex and 406 single screens.

In the first week, the Kannada film has amassed Rs 104.58 crore. On the seventh day, it has raked in Rs 9.25 crore.
Directed by Tharun Sudhir, the movie marks the acting debut of Aradhana, daughter of late producer Ramu and yesteryear actress Malashri. Jagapathi Babu, Shruthi, Kumar Govind, Vaijanath Biradar, and others are part of the cast.
Talking about the success of the movie, actor Darshan, at a recent press meet, said, "I do commercial movies with the sole intention of entertaining the audience. For me, the success of Kaatera is more than winning an Oscar. If I had the intention of winning awards for acting, I would have chosen non-commercial films where there is ample space for showcasing one's talent."
On the other hand, the makers had organised a special screening for celebrities. Upendra, Sri Murali, Prajwal Devaraj, Vasishta Simha and many others watched the flick and hailed the content.
Meanwhile, the movie is all set to release in foreign countries. 'Kaatera' is hitting the screens today in the UAE, Australia, and the US.
The producer has also plans to dub the movie in other languages. "Kantara is a recent example-a Kannada film later released in multiple languages, achieving massive success. Likewise, Kaatera, with its universal themes appealing to diverse audiences, transcends language barriers. Highlighting farmer-centric real incidents, it's in high demand for dubbed versions in various languages across different states," producer Rockline Venkatesh said.
