Last month, Jacqueline opted out of performing at the IPL opening ceremony in Guwahati due to her mother's health condition.

A source close to the actress had told news agency ANI, "Jacqueline's mother remains in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors, Jacqueline has decided to stay by her mother's side and, unfortunately, will be missing the IPL Ceremony performance."

In a previous interview with India TV, Jacqueline spoke fondly of her mother, describing her as an "inspiration."

She said, "My mum always supported me. I miss her a lot. I live here alone without my parents. There are these two people who have been so strong and they have been such an inspiration for me, which always keeps me going."

Jacqueline was born in Manama, Bahrain, and grew up in a multicultural household. Her mother, Kim, was of Malaysian and Canadian heritage, while her father, Elroy Fernandez, is from Sri Lanka. The couple met in the 1980s when Kim was working as an air hostess.
