Jaat Box Office collection Day 1
Directed by Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, Jaat marks his debut in Bollywood. The Sunny Deol-starrer had a decent opening at the box office. Its strong performance has posed a challenge for Salman Khan's Sikandar, which has been struggling to maintain momentum. On its twelfth day in theatres, Sikandar managed to collect only ₹71 lakh in India - a sharp 80.54% drop compared to the previous day's earnings.
The day-wise occupancy data paints a clear picture of growing audience interest through the day. Morning shows registered 9.56% occupancy, which steadily climbed to 15.41% in the afternoon. Evening shows saw a slight dip at 13.69%, but the night shows peaked at 18.47%, reflecting positive word-of-mouth and rising interest post-work hours.
Regions like Jaipur and Chennai reported the strongest footfalls, while the film also saw robust collections in northern belts such as Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh - Sunny Deol strongholds, especially after the massive success of Gadar 2.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, and Saiyami Kher, Jaat has opened as the fourth highest Bollywood opener of 2025 so far. It trails behind Chhaava (₹29 crore), Sikandar (₹25 crore), and Sky Force (₹11 crore), but managed to outperform Deva (₹5.25 crore).
The film has been released on approximately 5,500 screens across India and has been mounted on a budget of ₹100 crore (including print and advertising costs).
Hit or Flop?
Jaat needs to earn ₹100 crore or more at the domestic box office to be declared a hit, while a ₹90 crore collection would be considered average.
With a solid start and positive word-of-mouth in mass belts, all eyes are now on the weekend performance to determine if Jaat can maintain its momentum and join the hit club of 2025.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Zee Studios, and People Media Factory, Jaat blends high-octane action with heartfelt emotion. The film is now playing in cinemas across three languages - Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
