Hyderabad Police Summons Allu Arjun For Questioning In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case On Tuesday

Hyderabad police have summoned Tollywood actor Allu Arjun for questioning regarding the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident. The actor is expected to appear at Chikkadpally Police Station on Tuesday at 11 a.m. This development follows a notice issued to him on Monday. His legal team has since visited his residence to discuss their approach to the situation.

A tragic event occurred during the premiere of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" on December 4, where a woman lost her life and her son was critically injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theatre. As a result, Allu Arjun, along with the theatre management and his team, faced charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The actor was arrested on December 13 and presented before a city court, which placed him in judicial custody for 14 days.

Legal Developments and Interim Bail

On the same day as his arrest, the Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail for four weeks. Consequently, he was released from Chanchalguda Jail the following day. However, recent reports suggest that Hyderabad police are considering approaching the High Court to revoke this interim bail.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand mentioned that further actions would be taken after seeking legal advice. On Sunday, he released detailed CCTV footage from Sandhya Theatre to counter Allu Arjun's statements about the incident. A comprehensive 10-minute video was created after reviewing 1,000 video clips to clarify what happened on December 4.

Political Criticism and Actor's Response

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticised Allu Arjun during an Assembly session on Saturday for visiting the theatre without police approval and holding a 'roadshow' despite the tragedy. In response, Allu Arjun held a press conference on the same day, dismissing these allegations as false and expressing his distress over what he termed "character assassination."
