National Awards 2024: How Much Will Rishab Shetty & Other Winners Get As Prize Money? Find Out
The 70th National Film Awards jury has announced the winners for the year 2022, recognizing excellence in Indian cinema across multiple categories.
In the Feature Film category, the Malayalam movie 'Aattam' won the coveted Best Feature Film award, while Kannada film 'Kantara' was named Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Additionally, Rishab Shetty, the creator of 'Kantara,' took home the Best Actor Award for his leading role, while Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh were jointly honoured with the Best Actress Award for their performances in the Tamil film 'Thiruchitrambalam' and the Gujarati film 'Kutch Express', respectively.

The Non-Feature Film category saw winners across 16 categories, while 24 categories were dedicated to Feature Films. In addition, awards were given for the Best Feature Film in each of the 10 languages specified in Schedule VIII of the Constitution, along with two awards for the best feature films in languages outside this list.
Apart from film accolades, special honours were awarded for literary contributions to cinema. The Award for Best Book on Cinema and Best Film Critic Award were also presented, further celebrating cinema beyond the screen.
Prize Money for Swarna Kamal Awards:
The Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) awards recognize top honors, with prize money assigned as follows:
- Best Feature Film: Rs. 3 lakh
- Best Director: Rs. 3 lakh
- Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment: Rs. 3 lakh
- Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming & Comic): Rs. 3 lakh
- Best Book on Cinema: Rs. 1 lakh
- Best Film Critic: Rs. 1 lakh
Prize Money for Rajat Kamal Awards:
The Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus) categories include awards for various aspects of filmmaking and will get Rs 2 lakh each:
- Best Biographical / Historical Reconstruction / Compilation Film
- Best Arts / Culture Film
- Best Documentary
- Best Non-Feature Film Promoting Social and Environmental Values
- Best Animation Film
- Best Short Film (Upto 30 Minutes)
- Best Cinematography
- Best Sound Design
- Best Editing
- Best Music Direction
- Best Narration / Voice Over
- Best Script
- Best Feature Film Promoting National, Social, and Environmental Values
- Best Actor / Actress in a Leading Role
- Best Supporting Actor / Actress
- Best Child Artist
- Best Male / Female Playback Singer
- Best Costume Design
- Best Make-Up
- Best Lyrics
- Best Choreography
- Best Action Direction (Stunt Choreography)
- Best Feature Film in each of the languages specified in Schedule VIII
All the winners will get medals along with certificates.
